What I Do

 How the Organized Life Works

There's no magic solution to help you get and stay organized. For any organizing system to work, it needs to be one you enjoy, can live with, and want to continue using.

That's why the first thing I do is visit you in the space you want to organize for an in-depth needs assessment so I can learn more about your organizing goals, challenges, frustrations, and style.

From there, I work with you to create a customized plan to get your space--from a closet to a suitcase to a home office--de-cluttered, well organized, and, most importantly, usable and enjoyable.

For distance consultations, I work with photographs of your space and interviews with you to create a list of recommendations and an organization action plan.

My Services
In addition to meeting with you to create a customized organizing plan, I will work with you from start to finish to implement that system and teach you new organizing habits that will work for you. After our project is done, I'll leave you with maintenance tips and tricks that will help you keep your organizing system running smoothly; you can also choose to schedule follow-up visits.

I also offer shopping and donation drop-off services to help you outfit your space with effective, efficient organizing tools and supplies, and to make sure the things you're letting go of can be put to good use by others.

In addition to my direct work with clients, I enjoy giving classes and presentations and working with larger groups. My upcoming speaking engagements are listed at the bottom of this page. I'm happy work with you to customize a presentation for your group, workplace, or association.

Recent Projects
Here are a few of the projects I've worked on recently:

  • Traveled to Mexico City to unpack and organize a client's belongings after a recent move. The client was able to focus on starting a new business and, within a matter of days, had a comfortable and well organized home to enjoy.
  • Helped several clients sort and weed unwanted items in preparation for moving; this helped keep their moving costs in check and made the process smoother and more efficient.
  • Worked with a CPA to track tasks and To Do's related to tax time so he could focus on serving his clients.
  • Updated and streamlined a client's paper management system to make it easier for him to find files when he needed them and keep his desk clear of unneeded papers.
  • Created a home office storage plan for a client with a home-based business.
  • Helped a property management company archive old files and create new ones for current bills and properties.
  • Worked with a real estate agent to help her take control of her e-mail Inbox .
  • Packed the contents of a client's home for a pending move.
  • Overhauled the junk drawers in a client's kitchen to create organized storage for tools, pet gear, and school supplies for her kids.
